International Conference on School–University Partnerships - June 2–4, 2026

We are pleased to invite you to the International Conference on School–University Partnerships, taking place from June 2–4, 2026, in Zwolle and surrounding areas (The Netherlands). The conference is organized by Viaa University of Applied Sciences in close collaboration with its Scope partnering schools.

The conference focuses on collaborative teacher education, with particular attention to how universities and partnership schools can work together to bridge theory and practice, share responsibility, and co-create meaningful and sustainable teacher education.

Conference design and programme
The programme is designed to foster dialogue, reflection, and co-creation across different roles and international contexts. It includes:
• Keynote lectures by Miranda Timmermans, Diane Yendol-Hoppey, and Ingrid Paalman, offering international and practice-based perspectives on partnership-driven teacher education.
• Thematic sessions focusing on key issues such as:
o Leadership in professional development schools
o Designing and implementing a workplace curriculum
o Professional development and support of mentors
o Shared ownership and governance in school–university partnerships
• Interactive formats that encourage active participation, dialogue, and exchange.
• School visits to Scope partnering schools, including transportation, offering insight into partnership practices in real-life educational contexts.
• Opportunities to bring in your own learning questions, connecting the programme to your professional practice.

Conference fee
The conference fee includes access to all keynote sessions, thematic sessions, school visits including transportation, conference materials, lunches, refreshments, and the closing dinner.
• Early bird fee (until March 15, 2026): €550
• Regular conference fee (from March 16, 2026): €650
